Fancy looking July 24, 2010 FastAssCrass (Maine) Pretty flashy cover not as much as I thought it would be. Not in "almanac" format.
Wow! May 9, 2010 Patricia G. Berlin (Jackson, WY United States) I bought this book for my second graders to read on Fun Fridays. They were fighting over the 2009 Guineness book, so I added '10 to our library! Now they fight over both books, so we have to have a sign up. The pictures are incredible. There's something for everyone in this book.
Perfect April 26, 2010 Shelly Strayer (seattle,Wa) This book was to replace a stolen library book for my 11 year old daughter. It was delivered to our home quickly. This book was absolutly brand new and perfect.
Gross, weird, strange, interesting and cool March 16, 2010 Imma Reader (USA) My 9 year old son wanted this book because he saw it at the school book fair.
School sold out immediately so I searched Amazon and got a way better deal on it.
Tons of weird, strange pictures. My son said it was " awesome".
The hard back is a good quality investment. Some pics may be too graphic for 5 and younger.
Guinness Book of World Records 2010 March 8, 2010 This book has a lot of interesting facts. It also has a lot of boring facts (mostly the sports section). And last, but not least, it has many disturbing or disgusting facts. I personally like the disturbing facts, but if you do not like gross things, do not get this book. Most of the gross facts are either in The Body section or the Human Achievments section. The vast majority of these facts are interesting such as the first video watch phone or the farthest distance flown with a rocket belt (page 190-191). The best facts are usually in the Modern World section or the Engineering and Technology section. There are so many disturbing facts (with pictures too!) that I would not reccommend this for ages 7 and below. Overall there are many good things, and many bad things about this book.
